Junior Software Engineer role

Position Summary

This is an entry-level position designed for fresh graduates or early-career engineers. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will focus on building a strong technical foundation under the mentorship of senior staff. Your primary goal is to learn the Alpha X technology stack, assist in code development, and support the team during on-site deployments in the manufacturing sector. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and testing software components according to strict technical specifications and Object-Oriented principles 

• Rapidly acquire skills in new programming languages and tools to meet changing project requirements. 

• Accompany senior engineers to client sites (local and regional) to support software installation, customization, enhancement and testing. 

• Prepare basic technical documentation and help logs for developed modules. 

• Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company as and when required. 

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• Strong academic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). 

• Willingness and ability to learn new programming languages quickly. 

• Willingness to travel and work on-site at client factories.

• Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred / Additional

• Knowledge of Java or Go-lang, SECS and GEM are added advantage. 

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Malay is an added advantage for regional coordination. 

• Basic understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or industrial concepts.
