Position Summary

As a Software Engineer, you are expected to operate with a higher degree of independence than an entry level. You will be responsible for delivering specific software tasks without constant supervision and will play an active role in on-site execution. This role is for engineers who have moved past the initial learning phase and are ready to contribute directly to project delivery in the Semiconductor and other manufacturing industries. 

Key Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug robust code for assigned software modules using Object-Oriented best practices. 

• Execute development tasks and on-site integration activities with minimal daily guidance. 

• Adapt quickly to different tech stacks (e.g., switching between Java, Go-lang, React, or Python) as needed by the project. 

• Handle specific technical tasks during client site visits, including troubleshooting and user support. 

• Able to troubleshoot minor challenges independently and escalate complex issues appropriately. 

• Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company as and when required. 

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1—2 years of relevant software development experience. 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

• Proven practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in past projects. 

• Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies and apply them effectively. 

• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at client factories. 

• Professional fluency in English (written and spoken). 

Preferred / Additional

• Proficiency in Java, Go-lang, and React is highly preferred. 

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Malay is an added advantage for regional coordination. 

• Exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Semiconductor or Solar industry is an added advantage.
